Flag — Saint Kitts and Nevis
Saint Kitts and Nevis: its flag

Adopted on 19 September 1983, independence day, this flag combines the green of fertile land and the red of the independence struggle, separated by a broad black diagonal band edged in gold.

Black recalls the African heritage of the population, gold the Caribbean sunshine, and the two white stars represent hope and liberty for the two islands, Saint Kitts and Nevis, joined in a single federation.
